The Creative Landscape

January 6-8, 2015
Punta del Este, Uruguay

with Eddie Soloway

Photographs come from deep inside us. They transcend a record of what is in front of you, and may express heartfelt emotions, conceptual ideas, and new interpretations. Eddie Soloway will be back in Punta del Este for a three-day workshop designed to surround you with new ways to interpret the landscape.

Our workshop will be held at Roberto Riverti's "Espacio foto arte" in Punta del Este (Ruta 10 km. 166.100 y calle 6, Altos de Punta Piedras). Roberto is an acclaimed photographer based in Buenos Aires and Punte del Este, and he has graciously offered his gallery space. Each day our workshop begins at 3:00 in the afternoon. During the first two days Eddie will explore the worlds of abstractions, reflections, layers, movement, and
the realm of concepts and imagination, looking at how these ideas can lead to the creation of unique images. He will present the work of artists from around the world as we explore the ideas of essence and place. At the end of the first two afternoons we will go to a beautiful location to experiment with these new ideas, and also complete a fun and challenging creative assignment. On the last afternoon, January 8, we will meet at Espacio foto arte at 3pm to explore more creative ideas and look at the results of the creative assignment.

Our three days will be full and exciting, mixing together creative indoor sessions, time outdoors to make images, and for those people prepared for the digital workflow, a chance to look at your efforts. At the end of these three days, you will walk away seeing more of the world around you, as well as knowing what it takes to translate your vision into a compelling and memorable image.
